Job Description:

Are you a reliable and motivated horse lover who enjoys working hands-on with horses? Then we would love to hear from you!

To strengthen our team at Pladutse Stud, we are looking for a Groom (flexi job and/or student). You will assist with the daily care of our horses and contribute to their wellbeing. We have sport horses, broodmares, young horses and foals, all of which deserve the very best care.

Responsibilities:

• Feeding the horses
• Mucking out stables
• Bringing horses to the paddocks, fields or horse walker
• Daily horse care (grooming, picking out hooves, putting blankets on and off, etc.)
• Hand-walking horses
• Assisting with the care and handling of foals and young horses
• Caring for the other farm animals
• Assisting in preparing horses for shows, auctions and photoshoots
• Keeping the stable and working areas clean and safe

Profile:

• You have experience working with horses and are confident handling different types of horses.
• You are reliable, honest and have an eye for detail.
• You can work independently as well as part of a team.
• You are flexible and available to work weekdays and/or weekends.
• Previous experience as a groom is an advantage, but motivation and a strong sense of responsibility are just as important.
